What we collect and why

We use account and character data, IP addresses, device identifiers, in-game communications and game activity, including staff checks and related replies. We use this information to provide and run the game, maintain security, prevent and investigate cheating or abuse, handle reports and review staff conduct.

We process information needed to provide your account and game service under our contract with you. We also rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the game safe and investigating abuse. We do not use these records for advertising or AI training. Please do not share passwords or other secrets in game communications.

Who may receive it

We share information as needed with authorised Stones staff and service providers who host or store data for us (hosting, backups). We may also disclose information where required by law. Other players receive the communications you send to them or their game channel.

We use secure, encrypted storage and hosting in Europe. Stones LLC is a US company, and authorised access or storage may involve other countries.

Your information may therefore be processed outside the UK and EU, including by our service providers. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it. Contact [email protected] for details.

How long we keep it

Routine investigation records are generally kept for up to 90 days, with backups kept for up to about a year. Relevant records may be kept longer for an ongoing investigation or legal requirement, with review of whether they are still needed.

Some existing account and operational records are currently kept indefinitely, including historical login IP addresses held with live accounts. These do not automatically expire under the investigation-record or backup schedule. We consider valid deletion and objection requests under applicable law.

Deleted or expired investigation records are kept out of ordinary use, including after a restore. Some encrypted provider-held copies may remain temporarily after deletion under the provider's retention practices.

Your choices and rights

Email [email protected] with the relevant account or character and your request. Do not send your password. We may need to verify your identity.

Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to its use, and request portability where that right applies. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension or exception applies, we explain it. You can complain to your local data-protection regulator, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or the relevant EU supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first.

Stones is for players aged 13 or older. If you are under 13, do not create an account or use the service.
